The Evening Tide
The day was moving slowly away,As we watch the sunset go by,Ocean waves moving softly to shore,As we watch the evening tide.How vast are the ocean's waters,How deep can feelings go,Can love and romance truely exist,In the same way that the ocean waters flow.I thought about the ocean's current,How strong that it's bond must be,To overcome all the other elements,That must be the picture of you and me.This I pondered as we walked,As I pulled you close by my side,With the stars shinning over our harbor,As we watch the evening tide.
