The Mirror
A face unaware of pain,That's the way I may appear. With no obstacles to overcome,And a path that's always clear.Behind a mask is where I hide;So you cannot see my eyes. For they are the windows to my soul,Which is where it's safe to cry. What the mirror has discovered,My disguise cannot hide.It knows I fear the shadows,And the pain that's stored inside. As I look to the glass,Tears cloud my eyes.I am shown the truth within me;And the mirror never lies.Through the eyes of the blind,In a world of deaf ears,The reflection in the mirror,Is the object of my fears.
