Time & Again

Time & Again
I feel the crisp,night air snuggle up close to me,
As i watch a thousand stars glisten;each ,a show!
My heart rejoices in the memories i have known,
but makes me recall how time can slip away.


Time that i ,in youth,thought would continue forever,
so,there was no need to ride the pain until tomorrow.
I learned from days gone by that times seldom change;
They only move ,and embrace themselves in a cloak of choice.


Yesterday,i read the old stories that tell the tales of yore,
but are they so different from those of today?
Only time and place beget the scene that is no more,
with different actors who take their places upon the stage.


Now i,the sage,raise the cup that is filled with much hope,
and wish that tomorrow will bring the wisdom and understanding,
for all to see beyond the walls,and the shadows of time.
Behold the splendor of the millenium light!
