Is a poor helpless girlShe screams out in terrorYet no one can hear a soundShe reaches out in fear butThere's no one to take her handTears stream down her cheeksLooking around there's no one to wipe her faceShe longs to step out of the shadows,For the light to hit her faceBut everytime she takes a peek out,the world beyond scares her.Loud youths rushing by,Gunshots sounding off in the distance,Blood running into the drainsSirens heading closerShe steps back into the shadowsAnd disappears in them again.
