Impossible Passions

Impossible Passions
Warm sunlight, burning fire, fingers touching, raging desireLonging so sweet, passions so consumingTears falling, parting so heartbreaking. . .Memories left to tease, with nothing to easeThe attraction felt, as hands were heldWith a lover's tenderness, a friend's sweetness. . .Two things combined doing wonders to the heart:In the morning making it soar, in the evening leaving it sore. . .Wanting, needing, aching, sitting here wondering How could so brief a moment bring so much torment? To an already occupied heart, to a story never going to startTo 2 people destined to be apart. . .The explanation is so simple, surely it will break into a dimpleOn your face, when I tell you, that what you said was true:Feeling, needing, then acting, wanting so much, yet notregretting. . .Actions taken, words said that might have ledTo unexpected roads, to two different living modesMeeting together, finding shelterIn the feelings, the spur-of-the-moment healingsThat only coming together brings, as the most beautiful of things.
