Light

Light
Adrift upon the darkest seaNo soul about to comfortAlone and shipwrecked just off the shoreFrightened by the lonelinessIn need of words to softenThe bitter wind upon my faceA light did shine upon the hill Across the black, blue waterA little beacon asking me to followI did but once waiver in the blacknessAnd then did reach for the glowAnd to the light I did flyInto a place so richWith kindness, hope and lifeAnd to this life where I am bornI thank the little lightFor it did call and promise meAll that I have gainedSo thank you much dearest lightAnd keep you ever safe.
