The Veil Of The Last Goodbye

The Veil of the Last Goodbye
She stands in regal solitudeas hundreds line down the aislepast the place where he will sleepthroughout eternity. They, like she, had loved himand came to say so-long; some kneel to say a prayer. She watches and clingsto the hands of her other son and her husband;as tears of grief river down her cheeks, she feels a smile of gratitude in her heartfor the good life he'd lived, for the many who loved him and would miss him,for her husband whose son he was,for the brother who adored him,for God who had blessed her so.She knows all these things will comfort herin the days and years to come, but for the moment, they wait behind the Veil of the Last Goodbye.
